It’s eco-zealots who don’t live in the real world

I think the argument being made here is that many people struggle to make ends meet and that should be the priority rather than tackling climate change. But, in my view, that saying two wrongs make a right.

Many people do indeed struggle to pay the bills but that doesn’t mean it’s OK to vandalize the planet.

Both problems can be tackled given political leadership. There is no evidence that we can only do one or the other but not both. In fact, quite the opposite as the costs of climate change will be disproportionately inflicted on those least able to pay.
